Born and raised in the North East of England, I grew up on the coast and spent many a happy time on the (cold) beaches searching through rock pools and digging holes in the sand. My university years took me to Edinburgh, and after graduating and working in London for a couple of years, I made the move back to Scotland.
Fast forward a few years, and I find myself happily married living in Scotland, a place I am proud to call home with my wife Laura, and daughter Rosa. My love affair with videography began a number of years ago, and I started taking it seriously when Laura and I packed our bags and went travelling for a year long honeymoon in 2012. As we travelled, I became more and more interested in film making, and began crafting films from our travels.
Thus our travel blog, Worldly Nomads was born, and from there we never really looked back. I filmed my first wedding in 2013, and since then I’ve balanced my time at home during the busy wedding season, before taking some time off in the winter to fit in another adventure we’ve spent planning. These days, with 100+ weddings filmed, we’re mostly settled in Scotland now, but my insatiable wanderlust led me to create Wild Pines Films, where I love to craft unique, personal and inspiring films of adventurous couples.
There’s something incredibly special in telling the story of you through film. The combination of epic views and music, with your own words breathing through the imagery, creates an uplifting and deeply personal narrative of who you are, how you came to be, and your hopes and dreams for the future. This is my goal with your film, and I would love tell your story.
